Where is the Garden? |

The Heritage Garden is situated in Stellenbosch, the oldest town in South Africa. This Western Cape town is also renowned for its vineyards, wine cellars and wine tasting facilities on the farms.
Map to Heritage Garden – a unique and living heritage
The Heritage Garden is part of the ARC Infruitec-Nietvoorbij campus on the R310 in Stellenbosch. It can easily be reached by car. Energetic visitors can reach the Heritage Garden on foot at a brisk walk of 40 minutes from the Stellenbosch Museum in mid-town. Bicycles can be hired at the Stellenbosch tourism bureau [+27 (0) 21 8833584] or a lift in the historic coach can be arranged from the bureau to go directly to the garden (8 minutes). There is adequate space for buses to park. The garden is in a 24-hour security complex.
Visitors can either explore the Heritage Garden with the help of a brochure or go on a guided tour. Historic trees and scientific features of interest are clearly numbered.
